In August 2003, the board of the American Society of Association Executives charged their new CEO, John H. Graham IV, CAE, to rebuild the professional group and steer it through a contentious merger. It would have been a daunting task for any CEO just coming aboard. But in Graham, they found a seasoned association executive.
